Shi + Robert. A perfect La Jolla Destination Wedding. Windansea Beach, San Diego Wedding Photography

These two planned such an awesome getaway wedding. They live in Las Vegas and with their families and closest friends escaped to the flawless shores of La Jolla to exchange their “I-dos”. There is definitely a large part of me that wants this exact wedding, like I could absolutely rent this same house, and walk down to Windandsea Beach to have a gorgeous mid-day ceremony. The wedding and decor were simple, but super elegant, and let the light shine on the important part- the wedding and the joining of families.

So these two are so wonderful together. Shi is a knockout beauty – strong, smart and sassy. Robert has a bit of GQ swagger and is an absolute gentleman- the kind that can put a perfect stranger at ease- and I know he must be lightning quick to hold his own around Shi. They compliment each other beautifully. I love intimate weddings because I get to spend a little more time with all of the guests and see how a close knit group of family and friends interact and have rubbed off on each other over the years.

Thank you both for being such wonderful, generous people. Thank you for inviting me to your perfect party, and letting me share the day with your family. Congrats you two!!

These two had a super adorable and joyous first look. I love their kid’s excitement in the background. Priceless!I think it’s fair to say that this cake was definitely in my top 5 cakes ever. And I certainly eat my fair share of cake. AND yes, I do keep track of my favorites. I mean, just look at it!!
