2011 was such an amazing year. So amazing, that it’s taken me until February to get caught up with it. I was fortunate enough to quit my day job in 2011, and take on photography full time.
I feel so very ridiculously lucky to get to call this my “job.” To get to work with beautiful and love-struck people as they embark on a crazy year leading up to their wedding, and I get to help push them off into the “happily ever after” along with all their closest friends and family. I get to capture new families, new babies, new relationships – all of these crazy beautiful milestones in the lives of those around me. It never fails to bring me back to what’s important in life.
So thank you to all the amazing friends, family, and network of photographers that have opened their arms to me this year and embraced this crazy dream of mine. You all rock. And thanks to clients, admirers, critics, and teachers, you all help to keep this moving forward.
So here’s my roundup of my favorite engagement pictures from 2011. Engagement sessions are probably my favorite thing to shoot. I love getting to know my couples, figuring out how to open them up, and just spending the afternoon with them adventuring through whatever city we end up in.
Hope you love them! Enjoy, and here’s to an even better 2012!
