I was a bridesmaid and a photographer in this wedding. AND I made brownies. Was it hard? No, the brownies were from a box. Just kidding. Yes, it was a challenge to be trying/wanting to help my dear friend into her dress and standing behind a camera at the same time. I had a couple moments where I just held the camera down and took in the moment. But I would not take it back in a million years. The day was perfect, and I was probably much more comfortable with that camera in my hands than I would have been as a guest.
I know we’ve talked about it before, but I would not be a photographer without Erin. So it’s only fitting I was a photographer for her. And I cannot go any further without thanking Ellie from Sun and Sparrow Photography for hanging out and helping me capture this amazing day. Many of the following pictures are hers. I didn’t shoot the ceremony at all, and I’m so thankful to have been able to stand next to my friend as she spoke her vows, and cry my little eyes out as she walked down the aisle. And my fellow bridesmaids kept me sane and organized throughout the day. I think I want them to come with me to all of my weddings.
Erin and Joey. It’s just the way it has always been. These two have been together nine years, and it’s so hard to imagine Erin without Joey. I’m so thankful he takes care of her, and I cannot wait to watch you guys grow even closer as you embark on the next chapter of your lives.
Yep, there I am. With my absolute favorite 5 year old little man.
