It was hot when we shot these. Yes, August in southern California should be hot, but this day was kind of ridiculous. When we started, it was 102 degrees, and I’d estimate around 80% humidity. I’m not humidity expert, but it was raining like 10 miles down the road, so I don’t think I’m all that far off.
Danielle and I are California girls through and through, so we weren’t so much fans of this crazy weather but Alex lives in DC so this wasn’t all too crazy/humid for him. Danielle was a champ though, and still managed to look beautiful and put together through all of it. These two are quite the impressive pair though. Danielle is living here, while Alex is back in DC, where the two of them met. His family is from Michigan. I just don’t know how you long distance people do it. You’re awesome!
Maybe that added to the absolutely awesome chemistry the two have. Despite the heat, these two were adorable together. Constantly laughing, and looking genuinely happy just to be together.
Once again, the strange weather brought in some great light, and I think we kinda rocked these engagement portraits. Danielle and Alex were such great sports for these pictures! (no pun intended) They climbed hills (Danielle in heels!) and even ran around on a football field when I asked them to. Thank you guys for giving me such a fun evening of shooting! I hope you love these as much as I do. They have the most adorable football rivalry between them. I love stinking love it. Happy Friday everyone!
