Newborn sessions are this beautiful reminder or the innocence and flawless fragility of life.

Baby Isla came by C-section after almost twelve hours of labor. The best part is, after all the hard work and then going in to surprise surgery, Isla’s mother was still in such beautiful awe of her perfect little daughter. Not that she wouldn’t be, but just to hear it talked about it … like… it’s no biggie. It’s all totally fine. It’s not even a bad experience because you get such an amazing gift afterwards. A parent’s love is so stinking amazing. Nothing else matters but the precious life of this precious child.  It just warms my heart like nothing else. I know I’ll understand it better once I have my own little ones, but for now I will sit star-struck, listening to the stories of labor and how these fantastic little beings came to exist in this world. Moms (and dads!) you rock.
