Laguna Beach Engagement Pictures. Chuck and Jennifer.

This whole winter we’ve been dodging rain and rescheduling photoshoots, and I’m so glad it (mostly) held off for this adorable session. We started off at a coffee shop with Jennifer and Chuck, which kind of made the whole day feel like I was just tagging along on their date (in the best, least third wheel way possible of course). But doesn’t that sound like a perfect Sunday with your honey? Coffee, a little bike ride adventure and then a romantic stroll along the water to watch the sunset? Yes, please.

Thanks for braving the threats of showers and thanks for being so sweet together you guys! Can’t wait for your September wedding!

Malibu Beach Engagement Pictures. Navid + Carrie. Malibu Wedding Photographers

This winter has been pretty full of crazy weather for us Californians. And by “crazy”, I mean rain, but seriously, we are spoiled by sunny days over here. Along with the extra rainy days come the most spectacular skies that make for some stunning session backdrops and create magical light that I’m just not used to working in.

With this session, we were on-again, off-again with scheduling as we tracked the storms, but I’m so glad we chanced a little threat of rain for this beautiful beach session. These two are smiley and sweet and I know their late summer wedding is going to be a ball! Thanks for adventuring through Malibu with me you guys!

Sequoia National Park Wedding. Sarah and Robert. Beetle Rock Wedding

First of all: if you haven’t been to Sequoia, GO NOW. Immediately. It might be a little snowy now, but at the very least make some camping reservations for this summer. Please.

All the magic that is Sequoia plus the effortless radness of these two humans made for a pretty fantastic day. This wedding was the first day of Fall and mother nature snapped quick, dropping over 20 degrees from just the day before. So it was cold. The sun was darting between giant puffy clouds so the light was changing quickly and dramatically, keeping me on my cold toes all day. But that crisp suddenly fall air was so clear, making this ceremony backdrop just about a stunning as possible.

Sequoia is unmistakably majestic. These two choose hands down one of the most stunning places in California (and the US?) to promise their lives to each other. I cannot thank you guys enough for inviting me on this adventure with you, and sharing with me the beauty of this magical place and the kindness of your wonderful friends and family.
And yes, I just made my camping reservations for this summer. See you soon Sequoia!

Vertigo Event Venue. Morgan and Chris. Glendale Wedding Photography

These two managed to pull off a perfect wedding. Such a beautiful mix of casually effortless and elegantly posh, Morgan and Chris were married on a absolutely stunning southern California winter day. I think some of the pure grace of the day can be attributed to these two already sharing such a long history. When they exchanged vows, these two had already been together 12 years! Long ago when I still worked in the retail world, Morgan would tell me stories about her boyfriend, and I knew back then that see had someone special. To be able to spend the day capturing that magic was absolutely amazing.

Morgan and Chris, thank you so much for sharing your day with me! Cheers to a lifetime of happiness you two!

USC Senior Pictures. University of Southern California Senior Portraits

Getting to wander the campus of USC is such a treat, especially during the buzz of Spring and all the graduates it blossoms. It has a slight east coast vibe and it something about it just feel so regal. I love trekking through the campus with someone about to graduate too, they get to show me all the “major” spots for senior portraits and I love ducking into their neck of the woods too. I like to make sure we capture some of the buildings where they spent the most time, spent late nights studying, or even lazy afternoons cramming in the quad.

Omar is straight up killing it, and going off to work for Apple. Congrats!!
