Alta Vista Country Club Wedding. Rachel + Eric. Fullerton Wedding Photographers

I loved this wedding. A perfect summer party, a endlessly kind and considerate bride and groom, welcoming families, perfect dance party and beautiful backdrop. Alta Vista Country Club has an almost secret garden vibe. The ceremony site is set off to the side, with tall lush trees that give that perfect shade, even in the height of summer. The golf course is spread out, and there are so many beautiful locations to shoot! Thankful to have such kind clients, and such beautiful places to make some magic! Congrats you two!!

First look with dad! Alllllways a special moment!!

LA aventure Engagement Session – Los Angeles Wedding + Engagement Photography

Edith and John made this session a breeze. They stopped by Urth Cafe on their commute home from work, we trekked through the Arts District together and then somehow made it over to the Observatory all before the sun went down. They embraced a little wind, a chilly afternoon, and an unexpected uber ride to the top of the mountain when the observatory’s parking lot was inexplicably closed off. As wedding photographers, we’re well accustomed to rolling with the punches and “make it work” is our slogan. I feel so lucky to have clients that also embrace adventures, speed bumps, and uber rides with ease. Thanks you two for being so kind and so FUN! Capturing your love and adventurous spirit was a pleasure!

Riverside Family Pictures. Sunny Winter Family Portraits Riverside CA

We chased the last little bit of light ands battled maybe the first chilly wind of Fall for these pictures, and it was so SO worth it. Let’s be real, that chilly wind probably brought it down to 60 degrees, but hey, it was sudden and we were underprepared! I love how that warm California sunset was showing off for us though, these hills were the perfect backdrop for this beautiful family!

I’m so lucky to have an excuse to see so many old friends around the holiday season so we can capture some updated family photos – Brooke coordinated my wedding and I literally would not have made it through that day without her! She now has THE cutest etsy shop The Painted Birch.

The Collins Family. Family Photographers Riverside CA

I can’t believe I’ve lived in southern California all of my life and never ventured out to Forest Falls. I mean come one, there’s a waterfall (flowing most of the year!) so. close. by! And it’s the mountains, like, without driving in the mountains. It’s kind of like you teleport. And for this mountain lover that somehow can get carsick while driving, it’s a wonderfully welcome surprise.  Luckily for me, this beautiful family wanted to take this year’s portraits there, because it’s one of their favorite local adventure day spots. I love getting to photograph families in locations special to them. And now I’ve got a new favorite adventure spot, and a great spot to see more fall color than we get down here at (basically) sea level!

Old Town Pasadena Engagement Session. Pasadena is mostly magic.

These two adventured with me on the quintessential Pasadena adventure. Kimberly asked if we could start at her parent’s place, which is SO perfect because I love incorporating as much “home” from love stories as possible into sessions! Such a sweet place to kick it all off too, since that’s where these two will be tying the knot!

We then ventured to the Colorado Bridge, which holds so much of Pasadena’s soul! I would always love seeing this bridge after long car rides, growing up it meant we were getting cloooose to home and for the past 5 years it’s meant that I’m home!

We hit up Lucky Baldwins for a brew (which is where the hubs and I like to celebrate New Year’s Eve (early – British time!) and then cruised through Old Town chasing the good light.

BUT the icing on the cake for these two lovely humans was – we were shooting outside a restaurant and out of the corner of my eye I saw someone coming out to talk to us. I honestly thought we were getting kicked out (private property) but instead total strangers brought out champagne to celebrate their engagement! Real life! I’m not sure if it’s gets more thoughtful than that, but seriously, these two deserve it! Pasadena has such a different pace of life that I’m always trying to pin down or explain to people – but that right there – just encapsulates the magic.
