The Oaks Room Calamigos Ranch Wedding. Malibu Wedding Photographers

I shot this dreamy wedding with my favorite girls from Sun and Sparrow Photography last spring. I always feel so lucky to get to work with some of my favorite people! Calamigos Ranch is such a stunning venue, tucked in the hills of Malibu under the most perfect canopy of tall old trees. I’m still obsessed with the flowers from this day, and I’ve never seen the Oak Room’s Ceremony site look SO stunning! That cascade of flowers over the arch is pretty much perfect!

Maternity Shoot on the Cliffs of Moher. Ireland destination photographers

These. cliffs. I know I’m not the first person to be floored by these cliffs, but holy smokes. I keep saying “Ireland is magical” and “the cliffs have magic” and I hope it doesn’t sound … cheap… because, I just don’t know how else to explain it. Hiking down the cliffs with a few other wonderful photographers and my wildly accommodating husband- carrying bouquets, wedding dresses, cameras, blankets and Irish whisky to fend off the cold, we all could not contain our excitement and emotion as  more and more of these cliffs slowly came into view. The wind took your breath away first, but what little oxygen you had left, these cliffs quickly stole.

Thank you Whimsie Studios for putting together this whole other worldly adventure. I will follow you to the ends of the earth any time you go.

and then out of nowhere, as the sun dipped lower in the sky, it finally broke through under the clouds and gave us this once again breathtaking. magical. beautiful. words cannot describe. glory.

Quail Ranch Simi Valley Wedding. Simi Valley Wedding Photography

I do feel this way about quite a few venues, but I’m gonna say it: If I’d seen Quail Ranch before I got married, this place may have been the one. Something about the tall old trees providing the perfect bit of shelter for your reception, paired with the oh-so California perfect home and pool house, AND a ceremony site with a view? It’s kind of everything you could want. Add in citrus groves, bouganvilla and a rose lined staircase to make your ceremony entrance the kind you don’t forget- and come on, it’s perfect.

I photographed this stunner with my wing woman Sarah Robertson Photography, and I’m so thankful she shared such a gorgeous day with me!

Tulum Wedding Photography – Mia Beach Club Wedding

I fully understand the obsession with Tulum. It’s a magical, impressive, other wordly place. Our trip was brief, but we managed to swim in cenotes with turtles, jump in the ocean, visit ruins, and eat all. of. the food. We also managed to see these two wonderful humans get married.

Nabil and Susan are the kind of people that thought they wanted an intimate pop up ceremony, with just close family, followed by a larger party with friends. But. No wanted wanted to miss the ceremony so we shifted to one big party all day long. They tied the knot right on sand at Mia Beach Club and we taxied over to Chacabar for a perfect reception under the trees. I loved that they combined both beach and a little urban jungle in their day.

The part about destination weddings that makes for such magic is that you get to spend a few days with all your favorite people, not just a few hours. Adventures, relaxation, meals, drinks, dance parties, all shared for a weekend with the ones you love who put a little pause on their life back home and hop over to Mexico with you. Somehow getting a glimpse of how big the world is can make a celebration of marriage and life even more intimate.

Nabil and Susan thank you for inviting us along on your adventure! You both are amazing humans and I’m honored to have captured just a little of your magic through this day!

Old Town Temecula Engagement Photographers + Mt Palomar Winery Wedding Photography

These cuties trekked through 3+ hours of traffic to meet me out in Temecula, and somehow still arrived smiling and happy. We suggested we hop through Old Town before heading over to their venue because I love having two totally different backdrops for engagement sessions. I always suggest two outfits for engagement pictures, and I love having a more urban setting too, to give a bit more diversity to your images! I consider engagement pictures such a treat, so I like to take full advantage!

But seriously, with all the stress of wedding planning- getting pulled in so many different directions – either from family and friends, or even just trying to nail down your vibe for the event! Engagement pictures are a time where you get to just. focus. on your fiance. Sounds so simple, but it’s a luxury in madness of all the planning!  So, we take it slow, hit a few nearby locations, and even grab a glass of wine where we can.

These two are getting married at Mt Palomar winery, and wanted to explore the venue and have their engagement pictures there before the big day. So much fun adventuring around Temecula with you two! Congrats you guys!
