Kellie + Eric: the one with the Engagement Pictures: Downtown Claremont Photographers

It’s pretty normal for my couples to say something like “we’ve never done this before, so we’re going to need a lot of direction” when we start shooting an engagement session. Which is totally fine, because I HAVE done this before, and I work pretty hard to make you comfortable.  And –side note- that’s exactly why I recommend doing an engagement session before your wedding day, because you get to PRACTICE being in front of the camera, and you know what to expect! But yes, the beginning of the engagement session usually starts off with getting to know each other, and me getting to know how you interact together, and getting a feel for how to pose you so you fall into something natural. It happens almost every time, and it’s totally normal.

This session was no different, but Eric even jokingly asked if I’d ever seen that Friend’s episode where Chandler can’t smile for his engagement pictures…  because he’d probably have a similar affliction. I cannot stress how far from the truth this really was. They were totally comfortable together, and when I got home and looked at the pictures, I was just floored by the absolutely radiant smiles I got from these two. They are so happy when they’re with each other that absolutely nothing else matters. Goofy laughing, beaming smiles, and adventuring up a dang tree together made for an absolutely epic session.

Looking back at these pictures, I can’t help but smile looking at these two and how wonderful they are for each other. Can’t wait to be there for your wedding you guys.
